Problem summary

    *                      group if the group is in a Database     *
    *                      and members are in LDAP                 *
    ****************************************************************

    When the group is in a database and its member users are in
    LDAP, and we search for group members a lot of time is taken
    in displaying the result. This happens because virtual member
    manager (VMM) makes redundant calls to LDAP to fetch user
    attributes.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix involved removing the redundant LDAP calls to improve
    the performance while getting group's members.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 6.1.0.37 and 7.0.0.17  Please refer to the
