Problem summary

    *                  Servlet                                     *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Null Pointer exception is seen in the *
    * browser when the Performance Servlet *
    * is accessed with the version=5 option *
    *                      enabled.                                *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Performance Servlet needs the NodeAgent to be active to
    communicate with the other servers. When NodeAgent is not
    available or is shutdown, then a NullPointerException is seen
    in the browser. Though the Symptom is expected, the exception
    in the browser is not correct.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been updated to handle the exceptions or divert them
    to SystemError and proper suggestions are given in the browser.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.17 and 6.1.0.37. Please refer to the
