Error description

  • During annotation processing there are excessive amount of
    addAnnotationInfo Concurrent Modification warning messages that
    are due to a reentrant callback. There most likely is no REAL
    concurrent modification and these warning messages are
    misleading and should be done ONLY if there is a real
    possibility of a concurrent modification exception.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Excessive warning log messages *
    *                      indicating a Concurrent Modification    *
    *                      in addAnnotationInfo.                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The code did not take into account some reentrant cases where
    we are looking to add annotated classes that have previously
    been added to our list.

Problem conclusion

  • The logic that looked for this Concurrent Modification warning
    was moved to the areas of code that can actually cause a
    ConcurrentModifcationException to be thrown.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.15. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
