    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SOAPServer instance gets re-registered *
    *                      with event source                       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    SOAPServer instance gets re-registered with
    SSLConfigChange event source upon every occurrence of the
    event, thus multiplying the times this instance is notified by
    the same event.

Problem conclusion

  • The old code contains the registration statement in both the
    instance initialization and the event handling. The fix is not
    to register again during event handling.

    This issue is generic to all platforms.

    APAR PM19558 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
    Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.35 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
