Customer experience deadlocks during server startup in
classloader.

*                      the contents of an application          *
*                      class loader                            *

An issue exists in the WebSphere Application Server in which
two threads may attempt to access the cache of an application
class loader's contents simultaneously, causing a deadlock
situation

Problem conclusion

This APAR reduces the window of concurrency in order to avoid
the deadlock situation.

APAR PM13589 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.35 of WebSphere Application
Server V6.1.
