APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The SDO repository jacl script shipped with WebSphere
Application Server only lists the DB2UDB_V91 backend ID.
Subsequent releases of DB2, and which ID to use for each release
are missing from the script output.

Local fix

  • DB2UDB_V91 can be used for later DB2 releases such as v9.7

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The installSdoRepository.jacl script should accept the
following backend identifiers, and list them when the
    -listBackendIds option is used:
    DB2UDB_V95
    DB2UDB_V97

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this APAR allows DB2UDB_V95 and DB2UDB_V97 to be
specified as backend identifiers for the
installSdoRepository.jacl script, and lists them when the
    -listBackendIds option is used.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.11. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
