    A crash can occur in the web server if interrupts are
    occurring when a connect call is in progress.
    

Problem conclusion

  • When a connect call is interrupted, it is retried and if
    successful on this retry, a crash can occur because certain
    flags are not always set to indicate timeout values. This
    could lead a corrupted value which eventually causes a crash.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.5.5.8, 8.0.0.12 and 7.0.0.41.  Please refer to the
