Error description

  • On rare occasions cancelling WebSphere on z/OS while an
    application is in the middle of processing multiple DB2 updates
    under one UOW can result in a commit of completed updates
    even though the entire set did not complete.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Following a controller region abend,    *
    *                      one or more in-flight transactions      *
    *                      commit when the servant region abends.  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    During a controller region termination, the controller region
    will abend any servant regions which are still taking work.
    In some cases, the POSIX signal handler in the servant region
    will issue an exit() which causes any in-flight transaction on
    that task, or any subtasks, to commit rather than backout.
