APAR status

Error description

  • A NullPointerException in Portlet Container Cache helper class
    can occur during cache key digest creation for so called large
    parameter maps that contain null values.
    

Local fix

  • We determined that disabling portlet container caching allows
    us to add a portlet.

Problem conclusion

  • The respective digest creation was fixed to allow large
    parameter maps that contain Null values.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.39, 8.0.0.11 and 8.5.5.6.  Please refer to the

Temporary fix

  • Without the APAR, do not use Null values
    in render parameter arrays with more than
    ten entries.
