Error description

  • When an application specific binding is attached to a JAX-WS
webservice application, if more than one Service, Endpoint, or
Operation is checked, multiple entries for each object that is
configured will be added to the bindings.xml file.

    Example steps

    From the Administrative console.

Services > Service providers > HelloService
    Check all three things (HelloService/Hello/sayHello)
    Attach Policy Set
    LTPA WSSecurity default
    Check all three again
Assign binding > New application specific binding (give a
    unique name)
    Add WS-Security
    Keys and certificates
    Under trust anchor, click new
    name=Examplename, ok

    You'll see three entries under
    cellRoot)/applications/(earName)/deployments/(appName)/META-INF/
    (bindingName)/PolicyTypes/WSSecurity/bindings.xml

Local fix

  • Only check the top entry when attaching policy/bindings
