PI23174: PASSWORD FIELD IS BLANK IN CSIV2 OUTBOUND TRUSTED IDENTITY

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The password field is not populated in the console for CSIv2
    Outbound,
    
    Global security > CSIv2 outbound communications > Use identity
    assertion > Specify an alternative trusted identity
    
    After a valid username and password are entered and saved any
    further changed in this panel will cause it be removed from the
    configuration.
    
    This could cause org.omg.CORBA.NO_PERMISSION errors.
    

Local fix

  • Enter the password when making changes in this panel.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The user is always required to input    *
    *                      the login/password on the CSIV2         *
    *                      Outbound Trusted Identity panel.        *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    When chaning ANY attribute on the CSIV2 Outbound Trusted
    Identity panel, the user is required to input the password.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The password value is input back into the form when other
    values are changed so the user doesn't have to reinput the
    password.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.37.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
