Error description

Server took an abend ABENDDC3 RC 0A120002 with a dump
when it failed to route to an invalid node (server was not up in
this case). The abend itself was normal and expected; so it
should not produce a dump.

WOLA client attempting to communicate with a WebSphere
Application Server for z/OS node that has no servers up causes
a dump of an ABENDDC3/ABENDSDC3 reason code 0A120002 to be
generated. The ABEND is expected when connecting to a node with
no servers up. The ABEND is converted to an appropriate reason
and return code and returned to the WOLA client. The
dump should not have been generated when called from a client.

Problem conclusion

Changed the code to not dump when called from a client.

APAR PI15835 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
7.0.0.35, 8.0.0.10, and 8.5.5.3 of WebSphere Application
Server for z/OS.
