Error description

When an exception is received inside a doPrivileged block,
Exception.getMessage() returns null instead of the detailed
message in JDK 7 or non-IBM JDK 6. It will result in a soap
fault string value of "unknown" instead of a detailed message.

When an exception is received inside a doPrivileged block,
Exception.getMessage() returns null instead of a detailed
message in JDK 7 or non-IBM JDK 6. It will result in a soap
fault string value as "unknown" instead of a detailed message.

Problem conclusion

The problem is fixed by using getCause().getMessage() which
will return the message instead of getMessage() which will
return null when the value of getMessage() is null. This will
keep the behavior of Fault string consistent in JDK 7 and
non-IBM JDK6.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
