Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Endpoint not activated after recovery * * for resource adapters * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If the Application Server tries to activate the endpoint when the property com.ibm.ejs.j2c.J2CServerListener.deferEndpointActivation is set to true and the server has not yet finished starting, the endpoint is only partially activated. However certain internal variables are set to represent that the endpoint is no longer paused. This results in the server not trying to reactivate the endpoint after server startup. This is a backport of APAR PM63139.
Problem conclusion
To prevent this problem from occurring, the Application Server now resets the internal variables only if the endpoint has been fully activated. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.33.
