Connection leak in WebSphere SIP Proxy causes TCPC0004W error

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) * * Proxy Server which use TCP and TLS client * * connections. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SIP Proxy may leak TCP * * connections under certain * * circumstances, resulting in TCPC0004W * * error message in the SystemOut log. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: None * **************************************************************** When the SIP Proxy accepts an inbound connection and the data received on the connection is not a complete SIP message, the Proxy may not clean up the connection properly resulting in a connection leak.
Problem conclusion
The code was updated to cleanup the connection when an invalid SIP message is received over a new connection. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.33, 8.0.0.8, 8.5.5.2.
