APAR status

Error description

• SSM sometimes fails to return all processes on AIX 5.3 after
  FP8/9 is installed.
  
  The behaviour is experienced after SSM FP8 is applied. The
  number of processes listed in the psRunningTable in the SSM MIB
  Browser does not match the value of "ps -ef | wc -l" in shell.
  
  AIX 5.3 ML 9 (5300-09) with SSM build 1600.

  Upgrade to Fix Pack 10 for SSM 4.0.

Problem conclusion

• Removed previous changes that analyse the process order as it is
  returned, and rewrote AIX process enumeration using much
  simpler logic. This avoids premature end-of-process-list being
  encountered.
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
