Error description

• In the ASM for Microsoft Exchange, the Binary and Version fields
  of the Component table are blank for some components that are
  actually installed and running.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  In the ASM for Microsoft Exchange, the msxConfComponentBinary
  and Version fields are reported as blank for some valid
  installed components.
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Upgrade to Fix Pack 8 for SSM 4.0.
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed incorrect quote parsing when reading ImagePath values from
  the service registry entries. The full EXE path is now found
  correctly so the component information can be retrieved.
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
