APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• MIB2 ifTable & srIftable are not listing the loopback adapters
  on 64-bit Windows Vista & 2008 platforms.
  
  We had around 20 loopback adapters installed on the systems but
  srIfTable & mib2-ifTable display only one instance of the same.
  
  It was found that on other Windows platforms (including Windows
  2003 64bit) the network adapters are listed as expected.
  

Local fix

  manually create loopback interfaces

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  MIB-2 ifTable & srIftable were not listing the loopback adapters
  on Windows Vista 64 & Windows 2008 64-bit platforms.
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Upgrade to fix pack 8 for Netcool/SSM 4.0.
  ****************************************************************
