APAR status

Error description

  • Customer has received the error "Command too long (max 2047
characters)" while trying to load the sybase.cfg file.

Local fix

  • This error is because there are some unterminated quotes in the
file on two lines:

    sybasesqlin store sqltext="RowCnt = convert (int, rowcnt),
and
    sybasesqlin store sqltext="from rs_lastcommit

and only SSM 4.0 and later is picky enough for those errors to
be a problem.

Problem summary

  • There unterminated quotes cause a Command too long error.

  • 



Temporary fix


    

  • Manually edit the sybase.cfg file and add terminating quotes to
the offending lines described above.
