  • The SSM uses too much CPU getting more than the required
information on processes. We need to use less expensive calls
that only get the required information.

Problem summary


    

  • The following SSM sub-agents use too much CPU getting process
information.:

apache, appusage, hostres, iis, oracle, wts

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Internally we removed the expensive calls to PlibGetNext from
the above sub-agents and now use PlibGet/PlibStep instead.

The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
packages:
