Error description

  • Memory footprint of the rmonc library was large due to
unnecessary library dependencies. As this is a core library this
makes it difficult to pare down the overall memory usage of the
agent.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The RMONC library was linking to a large third party library. As
this is a component that is required by many other sub-agents it
was inhibiting the ability of customers to reduce the memory
footprint.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Moved the functionality that was linking to the library, the
probeConfig group, to the rmon2 sub-agent.

Fix will be available in 4.0.0-TIV-SSM-IF0003
