Error description

  • logmonx does not remember log file position if control row is
created from a config file.

Local fix

  • NA

Problem summary

  • File positions were being saved on agent shutdown which was
after the control rows created by configuration files had
already been destroyed. This meant the the positions were not
saved to file.
Also file positions were not being loaded on startup on
occasion as some memory was not being correctly initialized.

Problem conclusion

  • File positions are now saved to and restored from the file after
each sample.

The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
packages:
