APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Under RedHat the reboot (shutdown) command does not call the
System V scripts resulting in the killall script being used.
This results in the shutdown trap being sent after the network
is shutdown as the ssmagent does not use the lock file
mechanism.

Local fix

  • Create a lock file and issue a pkill in a custom script to deal
with the killall circumstance.
