APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • SSM 4 agent does not recognise virtual partitions in Linux

Currently the SSM only recognises LVM1 volumes as fixed storage.

Local fix

  • Currently the SSM only recognises LVM1 volumes as fixed
    storage. For
    LVM2
volumes, add the following line to
    <ssmhome>/config/hrdevicetypes.csv

    253,4 //LVM2 Device Mapper

I've also attached a new hrdevicetypes.csv file with this
    change. This
will make the SSM identify your logical volumes as fixed
    storage.

Problem summary

  • Added lvm2 device mapper to hrdevicetypes.csv

Problem conclusion

  • Fix available from 4.0.0-TIV-SSM-FP000.

Temporary fix
