ES06 provides the tooling necessary to create and manage a network of WebSphere MQ Everyplace queue managers and their optional interconnections to IBM WebSphere MQ.
The WebSphere MQ Everyplace Server Support provides the tooling necessary to create and manage a network of WebSphere MQ Everyplace (MQe) queue managers and their optional interconnections to an IBM WebSphere MQ network.
This SupportPac contains the following tools:
MQe_Explorer - a tool for MQe local queue manager creation and for local or remote queue manager administration. It presents the information through a graphical user interface (previously in SupportPac ES02).
MQe_Script - a tool that provides the same management functionality as MQe_Explorer but in a scriptable command console environment which makes it ideal for repetitive administrative tasks (was SupportPac ES04).
MQe_MiniCertServer - a tool for the issue and renewal of WLTS certificates to queue managers and queues, which are used for certificate-based authentication (previously in SupportPac ES03).
MQe_Service - a wizard-based tool for MQe local queue manager creation and operation. Additionally, it enables the automated set-up of MQe gateway and MQ queue managers, where messages are required to pass between MQe and MQ networks.
This is a SupportPac that replaces the three existing SupportPacs and adds additional functionality, namely:
» server queue managers to be created through wizards
» a bridge from an MQe server queue manager to WebSphere MQ to be configured - including the creation of new objects on the WebSphere MQ and MQe queue managers
» on Microsoft Windows platforms only: the server queue manager to be installed as a Windows service
Not all tools are available on all platforms; on the Windows 64-bit platforms and HP/UX IA64 platform, only the Script Explorer and a subset of the Mini-certificate Server function are available.
The following platforms are supported:
» Windows (x86) 95/98/ME/2000/XP
» Linux (x86/GTK 2)
» Solaris 8 (SPARC/Motif)
The following platforms are not supported and are supplied "as-is":
» Windows (IA64) XP
» Linux (x86/Motif)
» AIX (PPC/Motif)
» HP-UX (HP9000/Motif)
» HP-UX (IA64/Motif)
» Other UNIX platforms

IBM WebSphere MQ Everyplace Version 2 needs to be installed on the target system.
If the SupportPac is to be used to create MQe gateways IBM WebSphere MQ Java Support must also be installed.
On all platforms except Windows 32-bit, a suitable JVM must be available. This must provide the J2SE at version 1.3.1 or above.

The SupportPac is supplied as both a jar file and an installable image for each platform.

This SupportPac includes code that is supported on certain platforms and not on others. Those platforms that are supported are indicated in the section entitled "PLATFORM SUPPORT" above. For supported platforms, the code is supplied as a Category 3 SupportPac, but for unsupported platforms it is supplied as a Category 2 SupportPac.
Category 2 SupportPacs are provided in good faith and AS-IS There is no warranty or further service implied or committed and any supplied sample code is not supported via IBM product service channels.
Category 3 SupportPacs are supplied under the standard terms and conditions provided by the International Program License Agreement (IPLA) and thus carry program defect service.
If you encounter what you believe to be a defect with the SupportPac you may request Program Services by reporting the problem via the same defect reporting channel you employ for the WebSphere MQ Everyplace product(s) on which you are using the SupportPac.
The Category 3 support will be provided for as long as the WebSphere Everyplace V2.0 product remains in service. Refer to http://www.ibm.com/software/info/supportlifecycle/ for the relevant service information.
