MO01: Event and Dead Letter Queue Monitor

Downloadable files

Abstract

This SupportPac is the WebSphere MQ Event queue monitor, Dead Letter queue monitor and Expired message remover for Windows, Java, OS/2, AIX and Linux

Download Description

This SupportPac contains three utilities; an event queue monitor, a dead letter queue monitor, and a program to remove expired messages.

Possible Uses
Event queue monitor:
Waits on an event queue and alerts the user when an event message has arrived on the queue. It prints out the data in the message to stdout in a readable form. The source code is a useful example of how to read PCF messages.

Dead letter queue monitor:
Waits on the dead letter queue and alerts the user when a message has arrived on the queue. It prints out the message header to stdout in a human-readable form. The source code is a useful example of how to read a DLQ message header.

Expired message remover:
This browses every message on the system so that any with a passed expiry time will be removed. This is useful for keeping system storage under control and the source code is a good example of how to obtain information from the command server.

New in this Release
• Linux and Java files added.
