This SupportPac supplies examples that demonstrate how to use WebSphere MQ Workflow API calls.
This SupportPac supplies examples that demonstrate how to use API calls which can be compiled and linked and then executed. If you download and unpack these examples they will extend the Development Kit software component of WebSphere MQ Workflow.
The examples can be used to look up the code sequence that is needed to develop a customized runtime client or to implement an activity. They also show how to implement specific aspects of workflow-related questions.
The examples can also be used as small daily tools complementing the WebSphere MQ Workflow product
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED
There is no skill required to view the source code of the examples.
If you intend to modify, compile and run an example program, you need a basic understanding of the selected programming language and the programming concepts of WebSphere MQ Workflow.

This SupportPac requires:
IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow V3.4 or higher
Installation of the Workflow Development Kit.
To install the SupportPac in a Windows environment:
1. Download wa03.zip binary to the installation directory of IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow.
2. Unzip wa03.zip. Ensure you specify the option to re-create stored directories.
3. This will create the necessary files and sub-directories.
4. You may delete wa03.zip.
5. Point your web browser to <MQWFDir>\smp\index.htm to get an overview about the available examples.
To install the SupportPac in a Unix environment:
1. Logon as root..
2. Download wa03.tar.Z binary the installation directory of IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow, for example /usr/lpp/fmc.
3. Execute uncompress -fv wa03.tar.Z.
4. Execute tar -xvf wa03.tar.
5. Execute rm wa03.tar.
6. This will create the necessary files and sub-directories.
7. Point your web browser to <MQWFDir>/smp/index.htm. to get an overview about the available examples.
