Error description

  • When the links between HA Primary and HA Secondary are down(when
a HA connection is lost), problems with UUID causes problems to
find the DR Partitioning on either the DR Primary or DR
    Secondary.

The APAR also addresses a problem of running the commands
"/sbin/drbdadm" and "/bin/dd" under mqsudo to generate new UUID,
which we don't have permission to run under mqsudo at present
    and get below errors.

    Fri May 17 06:34:29 BST 2019: mqsudo /sbin/drbdadm disconnect
    --stacked drbd_PP02_DR¶
Fri May 17 06:34:29 BST 2019: Not allowed to supply path to
    command: /sbin/drbdadm¶
    Fri May 17 06:34:29 BST 2019: rc(1)¶
    Fri May 17 06:34:29 BST 2019: mqsudo /sbin/drbdadm connect
    --stacked drbd_PP02_DR¶
Fri May 17 06:34:29 BST 2019: Not allowed to supply path to
    command: /sbin/drbdadm

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error when generating a UUID associated with the DR
partition internally on the MQ Appliances meant that the
partition could not be mounted correctly if the HA links were
unavailable when this mount was attempted.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ Appliance logic which mounts the DR partition has been
updated to handle the UUID correctly if the HA links are down.
