APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the status of most of the queue managers is "Running
Elsewhere", the show qm-status command does not display any
results.

The dspmq command run on the secondary appliance returns the
expected results however, it is slow.

Local fix

  • Use the dspmq command in the mqcli to view the queue manager
status.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The show qm-status command internally runs the dspmq command to
fetch the queue manager status and the dspmq command took more
time than expected to return the result if the queue manager
status was 'running elsewhere'.  Due to this delay the show
qm-status command timed out and did not display any results.

Problem conclusion

  • Multiple fixes have been made to the dspmq command to improve
its performance when run on a secondary appliance
