    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicudata.so.48.1.1

    Linux on zSeries

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A logic error in the fix pack uninstallation code included with
    the levels listed above meant that some symbolic links were not
    removed during unintstallation.

Problem conclusion

  • From fix pack 8.0.0.9, the problem has been addressed. However,
    as the affected code is present within the fix pack bundles
    themselves, the issue cannot be resolved for installations where
    the affected fix packs have already been applied, and manual
    cleanup will be required.

    It is not required to apply MQ fix packs sequentially, and so
    users performing new installations may apply the latest,
    unaffected, fix pack to their base installation.

    The affected symbolic links are:

    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicudata.so.48 ->
    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicudata.so.48.1.1
    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicui18n.so.48 ->
    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicui18n.so.48.1.1
    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicuuc.so.48 ->
    /opt/mqm/lib64/libicuuc.so.48.1.1

    This information has been documented in the MQ version 8 readme.
    These symbolic links can be manually removed after uninstalling
    IBM MQ V8 if these files exist on Linux platforms.
