Error setXaLicenseMsg(I) after upgrade to 6.0

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

You upgrade to WebSphere MQ 6.0 from 5.3. Then a Java™ client program gives the following error:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.ibm.mq.MQEnvironment.setXaLicenseMsg(I)

Cause

An old version of the XA client was not removed. This is now included with the V6 code and it is free.

Resolving the problem

Install V6.0.2.1 (or later) as APAR IY86701 fixes the problem.

APAR IY86701:
MQJE082 Exception after installing WebSphere MQ 6.0 Extended Transactional Client

Also you can remove the old mqetclient.jar file if you are unable to go to new level of MQ.
