What cryptography cards are supported on WebSphere MQ v6.0 and v7.0?

Note: This document only applies to WebSphere MQ versions 6.0 and 7.0. For details of supported cryptographic hardware in WebSphere MQ version 7.1 or later, see here instead.
Default GSKit version 7
When using the default WebSphere MQ SSL/TLS provider, the supported cryptographic hardware is as follows:
Platform | Details |
| AIX HP-UX Itanium Linux POWER Linux x86 Linux x86 64-bit Linux zSeries Solaris SPARC Solaris x86-64 Windows | Refer to the GSKit 7 support statement. |
| IBM i | Cryptographic hardware support is provided by the operating system. |
| z/OS | Cryptographic hardware support is provided by the operating system. |
IBM will only support cryptographic hardware when it is used on operating systems which the cryptographic hardware manufacturer supports and in accordance with the hardware manufacturer's documentation.
Alternative GSKit version 8 (AltGSKit)
When using the alternative SSL/TLS provider (GSKit version 8) on the AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris and Windows platforms, the supported cryptographic hardware is as follows:
