Abstract
IBM DCE 3.2 configuration scripts hang on Solaris 10 machines when SunOS 5.10 Patch Id 120473-09 or greater is applied. SUN BugID numbers for this problem are now available.

The IBM DCE 3.2 configuration scripts show.cfg, start.dce, stop.dce, config.dce, etc. hang on Solaris 10.
The problem occurs with SunOS 5.10 Patch Id 120473-09 or greater. The problem also occurs with kernel Patch Id 120011-14 as it obsoletes and includes the problematic Patch Id 120473-09.

This has been identified by Sun as a problem in the Solaris patch and any generally released Solaris patch which includes fixes for BugId's 6590401, 6593908 and 6599934 will solve this problem.

All IBM DCE customers facing this problem should apply SunOS 5.10 kernel Patch Id 127111-03 or greater from Sun's SunSolve support website to solve the DCE configuration scripts hang problem on Solaris 10, as it includes fixes for the BugId's mentioned above.
