Pursuant the two DS6000 Series August 22, 2006 announcements, an extended warranty service contract is only available in selected countries indicated here. Those two announcement titles are "IBM System Storage DS6000 Series introduces new models and new price/ performance option with 500 GB FATA disk drives" and "IBM System Storage DS6000 Extended Warranty Proposal Models".

An extended warranty service contract is available only on new DS6000 series machines and must be acquired at time of the covered machine(s) original purchase.
