Abstract
General Availability of CICS Performance Analyzer for z/OS (CICS PA) V3.1 was 22 May 2009. CICS PA V3.1 adds support for CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V4.1, the CICS Explorer, and new statistics alert reporting. This document contains a section of the announcement letter and a link to the announcement letter which contains more details.

CICS Performance Analyzer (CICS PA) V3.1 delivers important new function to help optimize system and application performance by:
Providing comprehensive performance reporting for your CICS systems
Helping tune, manage, and plan CICS systems effectively
New function in CICS PA V3.1 includes:
Support for new and updated metrics from CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS) V4.1, including resource signatures
Support for the CICS Explorer including an updated plug-in and report form
Statistics alert reporting
Significant functions delivered by PTF since CICS PA V2.1
Support for CICS TS V1.3 and V2.1 records is withdrawn.
The new version also introduces a wide range of other technical and operational capabilities, including requirements raised by individual customers and user communities.
