- Fully supported version of the lBM CICS Explorer is now available for CICS TS V3 and V4.1.
Licensed users of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V3 and V4.1 can now download and use the fully supported version of the CICS Explorer.
- SupportPac CS1N: IBM CICS tools plug-ins for use with the IBM CICS Explorer
SupportPac CS1N was updated to V1.5 on 31 July 2009. This SupportPac provides unsupported CICS Explorer plug-ins for use with CICS Configuration Manager for z/OS (CICS CM) V1.2, CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS (CICS IA) V2.2, and CICS Performance Analyzer for z/OS (CICS PA) V2.1.
- Announcement letter for CICS IA V3.1
General Availability of CICS IA V3.1 was 4 September 2009. CICS IA V3.1 supports all new and updated resources in CICS TS V4.1. CICS IA V3.1 also delivers many new capabilities to enable you to control the cost of developing, testing, and managing CICS applications and to comply with internal IT policies.

- CICS IA V2.2 information center error
You are trying to build the CICS IA V2.2 database, but there is an error in the "Defining the database" section of the CICS IA information center. Step 5 should list the member name as CIUVERLD, not CIUVERUP.
- HOLD data in UK42624 for CICS VT V1.2 APAR PK72698 is incorrect
You are applying PTF UK42624 for APAR PK72698 which provides high level language support for user exits in CICS VSAM Transparency for z/OS (CICS VT) V1.2. The HOLD data in the PTF has a typographical error. The sentence in the HOLD data should read: "The CSD update in VIDCNFG member VIDCDEF must be executed".

- CICS TS for z/OS V2.3 EOS - 30 September 2009
IBM can offer a fee based service extension if you have not upgraded before the EOS date. A service extension entitles you to continue to receive the level of support that you receive today using the same channels into IBM, including raising PMRs and APARs. New Function (NF) APARs for CICS TS and CICS Tools include:
APAR PK90649 adds new features to CICS CM V1.2 that can be used by the CICS Explorer plug-in. PK90649 closed on 14 August 2009.
APAR PK85546 changes CICS VSAM Transparency for z/OS (CICS VT) V1.2 to allow nullable data in DB2 using a new user parameter mapping field. APAR PK85546 closed on 24 July 2009.
APAR PK85545 allows unsigned packed decimal data to be used with additional CICS VT V1.2 conversion routines. PK85545 closed on 9 July 2009.
APAR PK89259 enables CICS Online Transmission Time Optimizer for z/OS (CICS OTTO) V1.2 to run with CICS TS V4.1. PK89259 closed on 1 July 2009.
APAR PK87202 allows you to run the CICS IA V2.2 collector for CICS TS V4.1. PK87202 closed on 27 June 2009.
APAR PK84665 provides support for CICS Batch Application Control for z/OS (CICS BAC) V1.1.1 to run with CICS TS V4.1. PK84665 closed on 25 June 2009.
APAR PK86097 allows the CICS CM V1.2 server to run in a CICS TS 4.1 region. PK86097 closed on 11 June 2009.
