APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Your user application issues EXEC CICS WEB WRITE HTTPHEADER
which results in an ABENDAEXZ. While processing this command,
CICS code issues EXEC CICS WRITEQ TS commands. The ABENDAEXZ is
the result of making EXEC CICS calls within an EXEC CICS call.
Looking at the dump, the eiei_response has been overlaid.

Local fix

  • correct the DFHEIWB trace entry points

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend AEXZ on EXEC CICS WEB WRITE *
    *                      HTTPHEADER.                             *

A task issues an EXEC CICS WEB WRITE HTTPHEADER. During
execution of this command, CICS issues EXEC CICS WRITEQ TS
commands to Temporary Storage. The eiei parameter list for exec
    calls is reused and overwritten.
When control is passed back with the response to the WRITE
HTTPHEADER call, the response is no longer valid which causes an
abendAEXZ (Command failed due to serious error in CICS
component). The fix of PQ93846 is required at this release.
Depending on the overlay, another unexpected response to the
EXEC CICS WEB WRITE HTTPHEADER may be seen.
Instead of EIWB trace points being seen in AP 1-2 trace, they
are written as JCRM trace points.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEIWB has been changed so the eiei parameter list is saved
before the DFHWBAPM WRITE_HEADER call and restored afterwards.
EIWB trace points are written correctly.
