Abstract
*FDML ONLY* Termination/deletion of top level Process instances may result in orphaned sub process instances and invalid left over items in worklists.
The fix for APAR IZ47975 is highly recommended fix for all customer using WBISF and business process applications where the process model was defined in FDML (rather than BPEL), especially customers using the SCORE solution. It avoids orphaned sub-process and work items that can be very difficult to clean up.

Content
An FDML subprocess, which has a parent-grandchild relationship with the top-level process, is not terminated when the top-level process is terminated. This can lead to orphaned process instances that are difficult to clean up. In some cases work items may be associated with the orphaned process instances, leading to incorrect items on a users worklist. Furthermore this subprocess can't be deleted even if the top-level process is already gone since deletion is only allowed on top-level processes.
An ifix to prevent this issue is made available via the download document linked below.
