Abstract
Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting itself does not contain time-sensitive code, but relies on or requires supporting software which does, such as WebSphere Application Server and the operating system.
 
Content
The United States and Canada, as well as other countries have revised their Daylight Saving Time (DST) rules. Actions will be required to address DST revisions in many software applications, including IBM® Workplace™ for Business Controls and Reporting, IBM® WebSphere® Portal, IBM® WebSphere® Application Server and the operating system.

Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting itself does not contain time-sensitive code, but relies on or requires supporting software which does (such as WebSphere Application Server and the operating system).

Actions to take

The following actions are required by administrators of Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting systems to ensure that no problems arise as a result of this DST change.

Step 1. Update the operating system

Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting uses the operating system (OS) time clock. Refer to your operating system's manufacturer for more information.


Step 2. WebSphere Application Server (including the IBM Java™ SDK)

Update WebSphere Application Server (including the IBM Java™ SDK). Refer to the following technote for more information and details on corrective or preventative actions you can take now:

Step 3. Update the WebSphere Portal server operating system
