Prerequisites
This service release applies only to IBM Rational Solutions for Windows products, version 2003.06.00 and its subsequently released versions (2003.06.10, 2003.06.01, 2003.06.12, 2003.06.13, 2003.06.14, 2003.06.15). Do not install this service release if you are using another version of IBM Rational Solutions for Windows products.

IBM Rational Service Release 2003.06.16 is a full product download.
Note: Be aware that you cannot apply Service Release 6 to only one product if you have multiple Rational products installed on the same host. You must apply the service release to all Rational Team products on the same host.
Passport Advantage customers
Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express customers are required to sign in to Passport Advantage Online to access the actual files for version 2003.06.16.

If you or your organization did not purchase your software and support through Passport Advantage or Passport Advantage Express, you are required to sign in to the new IBM Software Group OEM Portal to access the actual files for version 2003.06.16. This includes customers with Flexible Contract Type (FCT) license purchases and IBM Business Partners.

Read the release notes before installing this service release. All documentation is available in the IBM Publications Center. To find your product's release notes, select your "country/region/language", then click "Search for publications" and enter 2003.06.16 in the "Search on" field.
IBM Rational recommends that this media be installed in a fashion that is consistent with the way it was installed previously. If you originally installed the previous version of IBM Rational Solutions for Windows from a release area, it is recommend you create a new 2003.06.16 release area with this software, from which future installations can be conducted.
If the method of updating clients was to not use a Release Area, but to install directly using setup.exe, IBM Rational recommends that you continue to use that method for installing this software on those clients.

If you use IBM Rational ClearCase MultiSite, you must install Rational ClearCase version 2003.06.16 on your ClearCase registry server machine before you install it on any other ClearCase machine.
