Abstract
The isclite application restarts after every update.
Download Description
PK67043 resolves the following problem:
ERROR DESCRIPTION:?
zeroEarCopy application is restarted for every update, after adding a new security role in application.xml
LOCAL FIX:?
PROBLEM SUMMARY:?
USERS AFFECTED:
IBM® WebSphere® Application Server users of version 6.1 and 7.0.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The isclite application restarts after every update.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
As per our design after every fine grained update we restart the module or the application depending on the update operation. For example, if a WebModule is deployed with a new user in it, we will recycle the application to enable the new user; whereas if the update reflects only on the module level files, we restart only the module to update the changes.
But, since isclite is a special application the restart behavior was not working correctly due to various special constraints.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:?
The fix handles the special constraints of isclite and aligned the restart behavior for its update operation like normal applications.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.1.0.21 and 7.0.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
