This fix pack includes new features, enhancements, and fixes to the version 1.1 of IBM Packaging Utility.
The IBM® Packaging Utility is a program used to generate a new repository for packages, copy packages to a new repository, and delete packages that are no longer needed.
This section describes the content of Packaging Utility, version 1.1.1
Integration with IBM Passport Advantage
Integration with the Passport Advantage Web site allows you to add a connection to a repository on the Passport Advantage Web site to copy product packages. To access, click the Passport Advantage button on the Source page of the Copy wizard.
Proxy server support now available
Proxy server support has been added which allows you to set or unset a proxy for HTTP and FTP network connection. This is located in File->Preferences.
Support for sites with invalid certificates
Support for sites with invalid certificates is now available. This is controlled in Preferences as well. If a site is connected that has an invalid certificate, you will be prompted to accept or refuse the connection.
Copy updates without the base version being in the copy destination
You can now copy updates without the base version being available in the copy destination. However, the base version must be available in one of the open connected repositories.

Before you can install this fix pack, you must have IBM Installation Manager installed. For more information, refer to the Installation instructions below.
Installation Instructions
To download and install the fix pack, do one of the following:
If IBM Installation Manager is not currently installed, complete the following steps:
Download the installer from the download URL in the table below:
pu.installer.win32-1.1.1.zip (on Windows)
pu.installer.linux-1.1.1.zip (on Linux)
pu.installer.solaris-1.1.1.zip (on Solaris)
Extract the compressed file into an appropriate directory. For example, choose to extract to C:\temp.
Change directory to C:\temp\disk_*\InstallerImage_* and run; install.exe (Windows), or install (Linux/Solaris).
The Installation Manager installer will be launched. Follow the wizard pages to install it.
IBM Installation Manager will start at completion
If Installation Manager is installed, download the pu-1.1.1.zip and extract into an appropriate directory. For example, choose to extract to C:\temp.
Add the fix pack's repository location in IBM Installation Manager:
Start IBM Installation Manager.
On the Start page of Installation Manager, click File > Preferences, and then click Repositories. The Repositories page opens.
On the Repositories page, click Add Repository.
On the Add repository window, browse to and enter the file path to the disk1 directory. For example, enter C:\temp\disk1 and then click OK.
Click OK to close the Preference page.
Installation of the fix pack should begin by clicking Update Packages.
