Files to local language-enable a default Domino 5.0.12 Global English installation.

The default Domino 5.0.12 installation is in Global English. This affects new language QuickPlace 3.0.1 customers since a language-enabled Domino 5.0.12 server is a requirement. To language-enable your server, download the appropriate language files and follow the instructions to install it. Currently, the following Languages are included:
French
German
Italian
Brazilian Portuguese
Spanish
Dutch
Danish
Finnish
Norwegian
Swedish
Prerequisites
Domino 5.0.12 must be installed.
Installation Instructions
You can download the Localized Server Kit for your language by clicking the link in the Downlolad Package section below. Save the file to a folder, unzip it, and follow the appropriate instructions below for your system.

UPDATING LANGUAGE SERVERS ON WIN32 SYSTEMS:
1. If you have a language version of a previous Domino version installed, shut down your server.
2. Back up important Domino server files:
a. Back up the Notes data directory on your server (for example, C:\DOMINO\DATA). This directory includes all ID files (including
the server ID and certifier IDs), LOG.NSF, NAMES.NSF, MAIL.BOX, and any other Public Address Books or Domino Directories
located on the server.
b. Back up the contents of any directories or databases pointed to by links (DIR files) from your data directory.
c. Back up the NOTES.INI file for the server. On a Domino 5 server, the default location for this file is the data directory.
d. Back up any other Notes databases (NSF files) or Notes templates (NTF files).
3. Install the English version of 5.0.12 Domino server on top of previous Domino installation. DO NOT LAUNCH THE SERVER AT THIS POINT.
4. To install iNotes Web Access copy the files in the xx_IWA.zip to the directories below (This zip file is found in the Lotus\notes\data directory once you install the Notes Client for 5.0.12):
The .dll's in the root of the zip file to C:\Lotus\domino directory

The .ntf file in the \Data directory in the zip file to C:\Lotus\domino\data directory

6. Copy the following .NTF files (backed up in step 2) back into the server data folder :

To retrieve translated Help databases, copy the following to the DOMINO\DATA\HELP folder:

a. Back up the Notes data directory on your server (for example, /LOTUS/NOTESDATA). This directory includes all ID files (including the server ID and certifier IDs), LOG.NSF, NAMES.NSF, MAIL.BOX, and any other Public Address Books or Domino Directories located on the server.
b. Back up the contents of any directories or databases pointed to by links (DIR files) from your data directory.
c. Back up the NOTES.INI file for the server, if necessary. The default location for this file is the data directory, so it may already have been backed up in step 2a.
d. Back up any other Notes databases (NSF files) or Notes templates (NTF files).
3. Install the English version of 5.0.12 Domino server on top of previous Domino installation. DO NOT LAUNCH THE SERVER AT THIS POINT.
4. To install iNotes Web Access copy the files in the xx_IWA.zip to the directories below (This zip file is found in the Lotus\notes\data directory once you install the Notes Client for 5.0.12):

For all files that have been copied on to your Unix machine, ensure they have the same File Permissions as the original file.
The Locale of the QNOTES user profile will also have to be checked to ensure it is correct as it may be set to US English after the installation of English 5.0.12 Domino. If this has been set to US English, you should change it back to the correct Locale for you.
6. Copy the following .NTF files (backed up in step 2) back into the server data folder :

3. Install the English version of 5.0.12 Domino server on top of previous Domino installation. DO NOT LAUNCH THE SERVER AT THIS POINT.
4. To setup iNotes Web Access correctly, a two-step process is required; one for the Notes Client, the other for the iSeries Domino Server.
a. On a supported Windows Client with the Notes Client for 5.0.12 installed, copy the files in the xx_IWA.zip to the directories below
(This zip file is found in the Lotus\notes\data directory once you install the Notes Client for 5.0.12):

The files above also need to be copied into the directories of any Configured server on your iSeries machine.

7. For all files that have been copied on to your iSeries machine, ensure they have the Correct Owner and Permisssions.
Owner = QNOTES
Permissions = (Public) Exclude
Use the WRKAUT command to display the owner and permissions for a file.
8. The Locale of the QNOTES user profile should be checked to ensure it is correct as it may be set to US English after the installation of English 5.0.12 Domino. (Use the WRKUSRPRF QNOTES command to work with the QNOTES user profile.) If this has been set to US English, you should change it back to the correct Locale for you.
9. Launch the server.
