APAR Error Description / Circumvention

Application users that leverage the Distribute Information
(QcstDistributeInformation) API in an IBM i cluster environment
could experience an abnormal end of a CRG job due to an internal
code bug.

Code will be enhanced to properly handle and prevent an abnormal
end of the CRG job.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE69957 :

Code has been enhanced to properly handle and prevent an
abnormal end of the CRG job when using the Distributed
Information (QcstDistributeInformation) API.

Activation Instructions


None.




Special Instructions


On each node in the cluster, end clustering, apply the fix, and then
start clustering. It is not necessary to update all nodes at the same
time. However, any node without the fix will continue to be a potential
source of the problem.
