Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels.  This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs.  By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the

accompanied, or was contained in, the Program for which you are obtaining

Add support for the following environments:

- WebSphere Application Server V9 ("Base")
- WebSphere Application Server V9 Network Deployment

The IBM i Access for Web Qshell scripts have been enhanced
to support WebSphere Application Server V9 for IBM i
environments.

The following values have been added for the -appsvrtype
parameter:

*WAS90BASE
WebSphere Application Server V9 ("Base")

*WAS90ND
WebSphere Application Server V9 Network Deployment

When *DEFAULT is specified as the value for the -wasinsdir
parameter, the path used as the WebSphere Application Server
installation directory is based on the value specified for
the -appsvrtype parameter.

The following values are the default installation
directories for the new -appsvrtype parameter values:

*WAS90BASE
/QIBM/ProdData/WebSphere/AppServer/V9/Base

*WAS90ND
/QIBM/ProdData/WebSphere/AppServer/V9/ND

Special Instructions


The IBM i Access for Web application server must be stopped and started
for the PTF changes to take effect.

If the Print PDF support is used, the QIWAPDFSRV job in the QSYSWRK
subsystem must be ended.

If the standard or IBM portlets are used, they must be reconfigured
for the PTF changes to take effect.  Use the CFGACCWEB command and
specify the WPDFTPAG(*NOCREATE) parameter to reconfigure the portlets.

If an IBM i Access for Web language feature is installed or removed
after this PTF has been applied, the following steps must be performed:
- Run the cfgaccweb Qshell script (do not specify any parameters)
- Stop and start the IBM i Access for Web application server

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI56971 :

The IBM i Access for Web application server must be stopped and started
for the PTF changes to take effect.

IBM i Access for Web must be reconfigured before restarting the
application server.  Use the CFGACCWEB command to reconfigure the
application server.

If the Print PDF support is used, the QIWAPDFSRV job in the QSYSWRK
subsystem must be ended.

If the standard or IBM portlets are used, they must be reconfigured
for the PTF changes to take effect.  Use the CFGACCWEB command and
specify the WPDFTPAG(*NOCREATE) parameter to reconfigure the portlets.
