APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
File sharing is enabled in the System/36 environment.  A program
uses the // FILE OCL statement for many files reaching the exact
limit supported with each file being specified once.  When one
of the files is opened the job goes into a loop.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE64061 :
-----------------------------
The system did not properly handle the limits on an internal
structure storing the information from the FILE OCL statements.
This caused the job to loop.

This problem is not limited to the open of a file.  Utilities
and procedures such as the $COPY utility or COPYDATA procedure
and others may also encounter this problem.

The PTF corrects the problem so the job will not loop in this
situation.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE64061 :

sessions to activate the fix in those jobs. If the PTF is applied as a
delayed PTF, no further action is necessary.
