Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels.  This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs.  By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.

This PTF is subject to the terms of the license agreement which
accompanied, or was contained in, the Program for which you are obtaining
the PTF.  You are not authorized to install or use the PTF except as part
of a Program for which you have a valid Proof of Entitlement.

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
When using the remote command server, occasionally unexpected
results occur.  The function may fail with incorrect data
returned or the connection may be ended.  MSGMCH0601 (Space
offset is outside current limit for object) may be received in
the remote command server job (QZRCSRVS).

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE58887 :
-----------------------------
The heap storage used by the remote command server to return
data to the client was not being allocated and managed
correctly.  The PTF corrects the problem.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE58887 :
--------------------------------
No

Activation Instructions

None.

Special Instructions

If the PTF is applied as an immediate PTF, please follow these
instructions:

Prior to applying the PTF, end the remote command server with the
command ENDHOSTSVR SERVER(*RMTCMD).  As shipped, the prestarted
jobs for the remote command server run in the QUSRWRK and QCMN
subsystems.  These jobs should be ended with the following
commands

QSYS/ENDPJ SBS(QUSRWRK) PGM(QSYS/QZRCSRVS) OPTION(*IMMED)
QSYS/ENDPJ SBS(QCMN) PGM(QSYS/QZRCSRVR) OPTION(*IMMED)

This may have been customized by your system administrator,
however, thus allowing the prestarted jobs to run in other
subsystems.  Use the ENDSBS command to end all of the other
subsystems which contain jobs with the names QZRCSRVS and QZRCSRVR.
Ensure these subsystems have ended, using the Work with Subsystems
(WRKSBS) command, before applying the PTF.

After applying the PTF, use the STRSBS command to start all of the
subsystems that were ended prior to applying the PTF.  Start the
QZRCSRVR job, if it had been previously ended, using the following
command:

QSYS/STRPJ SBS(QCMN) PGM(QSYS/QZRCSRVR)

Issue the STRHOSTSVR SERVER(*RMTCMD) command to start the remote
command server.

If the PTF is applied as a delayed PTF, no further action is
necessary.

Default Instructions

THIS PTF CAN BE APPLIED IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED.
