APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
MS Windows NetServer clients may receive Error 0x8007003A: " The
specified server cannot perform the requested operation." on
attempted file open or move operations. Other IFS interfaces are
unaffected. Other NetServer file shares pointing to the same IFS
directory may be unaffected.

The cause is an overflow problem in the NetServer file server
table extend routine.
In addition to accessing the IFS via an alternate file share,
the problem can be circumvented by disabling QZLSFILET per

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'MA44940' :
-------------------------------
IBM i NetServer maintains an internal table of open file
handles.  That table is extended as needed to contain more open
handles.  An error was made in computing the size of an extend
operation that did not allow the table to grow.

The PTF corrects the extend operation to allow the table to grow
up to its maximum intended size.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'MA44940' :
