APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
When a media is formatted with the *HPOFS file system, there are
two parallel directories that may be used, one is designed for
fast file finding, the other is hierarchical to display the
directory structure.  Some cases that prevent traversing the
directory and result in MSGOPT1360 "Media directory corrupted on
optical volume" could be bypassed if the system attempted the
operation on the other directory.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA44420 :
-----------------------------
Apply this fix to change the volume recognition code in LIC to
retry finding the root directory ("/") if a directory corrupt
condition is encountered when adding a volume to the system.  If
the directory is found on the retry, the media will be marked
read only, a VLOG3A002041 will be created, and the error will be
reported on the first system directory operation to the volume.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR MA44420 :
--------------------------------
None.
