APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The following message is seen when running the xsadmin command:
  
  createInstance Could not load class:
  com.ibm.ws.security.auth.ContextManagerImpl
  
  The following exception was caught during execution:
  
  java.io.IOException: Failed to retrieve RMIServer stub:
  javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException: A
  communication failure occurred while attempting to obtain an
  initial context
  

Local fix

• A temporary work around would be to comment out a line in the
  
       <WAS_HOME>/java/jre/lib/orb.properties file.
  
  The line to comment out is:
  
  org.omg.PortableInterceptor.ORBInitializerClass.com.ibm.ws.
  objectgrid.corba.ObjectGridInitializer
  
  Once this fix is applied, uncomment this line
  

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• Fix for release 6.1.0.5 is available in a cumulative fix at:
  http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg24027915
  
  A future cumulative fix will correct the problem for WebSphere
  eXtreme Scale Version 7.0 and 7.1.
